Dear
all - following Jak's storming suggestion to set Challenges to support thematic
and local interest topics, here's 'Challenge 1' in a series of forthcoming
local challenges.
For
this Challenge (and after some thought on the suggestions on the evening),
please write a piece - fiction or non-fiction , poetry or prose - inspired by a
local BUILDING or piece of ARCHITECTURE. The 'building' should be central to
the piece, rather than incidental and the reader should feel that they are
there and that being there MATTERS !

is East Kent - day trip distance - anyone further than

than that - no rules. No restrictions on length, words, style ... ok, one rule
– Don’t write about your house, your bedroom, your garage! Allotments sheds are
OK.
There
will be two prizes, not necessarily for prose and poetry. It would also be good
to have a suggestion for a 'title' for this 'putative collection' (cv.
